We may be transforming into a paperless world, but I will always believe in the power of print. In my opinion, high screen resolution and pristine digital images will never replace the scent of finely-milled paper or dust jackets as glossy as polished stone.
In the marketing realm, you can’t beat the allure of the brochure. I enjoy writing web content for businesses (in Portland and beyond), but the tri-fold brochure remains the hardest working piece of sales literature in the world.
I have my own “print marketing success story” to share. VeriServe Solutions, Inc., is a small business based in Houston, Texas and a happy client of mine. This past summer, the owner approached me to write a brochure for VeriServe Solutions, Inc. His notary signing agent business was doing well, and he wanted to highlight the process server side.
The owner understandably wanted to keep costs low. He mentioned VistaPrint as a print/publishing option. I suggested he hire a professional printer I’ve used before, Buel’s Impressions Printing. Their sales and production staff is top-notch. I made the case that even with my fee, printing, and shipping costs, VeriServe Solutions, Inc., would enjoy significant return-on-investment (ROI).
You can also view the brochure content at my portfolio. I’m excited to see his business continue to thrive! If you need someone to write your print content (brochure, flyer, sales letter, and so on), feel free to get in touch with me.
Do you have a similar story about print (marketing or otherwise)?
